Cookie Policy

Last reviewed: July 2026, reflecting cookie rule changes under the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025.

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. We use as few as possible, and none beyond what's described below.

Strictly necessary (always on)

These keep the site functioning, for example by remembering your cookie consent choice. They don't require consent under PECR because the site can't work properly without them.

Analytics (only with your consent)

If you accept analytics cookies, we use them to understand which pages are useful and where visitors drop off, so we can improve the site. No analytics scripts run until you say yes, and you can withdraw consent at any time using "Cookie Settings" in the footer.

Functionality (only with your consent)

These remember preferences such as accessibility settings, so you don't have to reset them on every visit.

A note on the current rules

Since 5 February 2026, changes introduced by the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025 have relaxed the strict consent requirement for a small number of low-risk categories, for example basic service-improvement and audience-measurement cookies, and cookies that simply remember accessibility settings you've already chosen. Where we rely on any such exemption rather than consent, we still tell you here, and it never extends to advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, which always require your opt-in.

Managing your choice

You can accept all cookies, reject everything except strictly necessary cookies, or choose exactly which categories to allow, at any time, using the "Cookie Settings" link in the site footer. You can also clear cookies through your browser settings.
