What we collect, and why
| Who | What we collect | Why (lawful basis) |

Data about the young people and adults we support
We do not collect sensitive information about individuals we support through this website. That information is exchanged through secure, agreed channels with local authorities, social workers and other referring professionals once a referral is formally opened, and is handled under our internal data protection and information-sharing procedures, which reflect the safeguarding-sensitive nature of that data.
Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies to run the site, and, only with your consent, analytics and functional cookies. See our Cookie Policy for full details and to manage your preferences at any time.
Who we share data with
We share personal data with local authorities and professionals involved in a referral, our IT and form-processing suppliers acting as data processors under contract, and law enforcement or safeguarding bodies where we have a legal duty to do so. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
How long we keep data
General enquiry data is kept for no longer than 24 months unless a referral proceeds. Referral and care-related records are retained in line with statutory children's social care and adult social care records retention requirements, which can require retention well beyond the end of a placement. Recruitment records are kept for 6 months after an unsuccessful application, or for the duration of employment plus statutory retention periods thereafter.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; have inaccurate data corrected; ask us to erase data in certain circumstances; restrict or object to processing; and request data portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@carequestgroup.com.
Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your personal data, please contact us first so we can try to put it right: email info@carequestgroup.com marking your message "Data Protection Complaint". We will acknowledge your complaint and respond within a reasonable timeframe as part of our documented data protection complaints procedure. You also have the right to complain directly to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
